Our Story
Built on Service. Inspired by the Road.
Before Hammer Lane Coffee Company, there was a uniform. Then came life behind the wheel, and I’m still on the road today.
I’m Steve, an Air Force veteran and current truck driver with 14 years of over-the-road experience. I started Hammer Lane with a simple idea: the people who put in the work deserve a better cup of coffee.
From the flight line to the highway
My time in the United States Air Force taught me to show up, do the job right, and look out for the people beside me. Those values stayed with me when I traded the flight line for the open road.
Life behind the wheel means miles, early starts, and long stretches of interstate. Out here, coffee isn’t a treat. It’s equipment. It’s what gets me rolling at 3 a.m. and keeps me company across a few hundred miles of dark highway.
Too often, that cup has been burnt, bitter, or has spent too long on a warmer. Somewhere between those truck stop counters and the next delivery, an idea took hold: we could do better.
A name with miles behind it
In CB radio talk, the “hammer lane” is the fast lane. For me, it represents people with somewhere to be and work to get done.
That spirit is at the heart of Hammer Lane Coffee Company. Honest work. Pride in what you do. A good cup to start the day.
Fresh coffee. No shortcuts.
Our coffee is carefully sourced and roasted fresh to order by our roasting partners, then shipped straight to your door. From bright light roasts to deep, dark favorites, we want every bag to be something you look forward to brewing.
For the people who show up
Truckers, veterans, first responders, tradespeople, early risers, and everyone putting in an honest day’s work: you’re the reason this company exists.
You don’t need a uniform or a set of keys to an eighteen-wheeler to belong here. Just an appreciation for good coffee and the people who keep things moving.
Thanks for being part of our story. Here’s to a good cup and the road ahead.
